Hi,

I have just bought NMEAlink 1.1 and I am trying to pair it with my macbook. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it paired using the help information of the app. I am using opencpn and I am trying to let my iphone send the gps to opencpn. Is there someone who can help me? I have tried to enter a data connection through network or through serial, but I can't seem to connect it.

Thanks,
Jack

Pairing should be made in 2 steps :
Step #1 : pairing the 2 devices together. You'll find descriptions of this using google. Here a link as an example http://smallbusiness.chron.com/connect-bluetooth-iphone-mac-54362.html

Step #2 : identify the IP address of your iPhone. In a Terminal window, type 'ifconfig'. You will see a new interface like this :
en2: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
ether 68:a8:6d:50:43:e1
inet6 fe80::6aa8:6dff:fe50:43e1%en2 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xc
inet 172.20.10.2 netmask 0xfffffff0 broadcast 172.20.10.15
nd6 options=1<PERFORMNUD>
media: autoselect (10baseT/UTP <half-duplex>)
status: active

Step #3 : use this IP address (172.20.10.2 in my example) to configure NMEALink

Step #4 : launch OpenCPN and configure it to listen on the port 10110 using the UDP protocol.
