Announcement of NMEA Link
NMEA Link transforms your iPhone (iPad too) in a GPS receiver for your MAC (may be PC too).
NMEA frames $GPRMC (Lat/Lon) and $GPHDT (heading) are transmitted over the air (Bluetooth or Wifi) to your MAC.
Works fine with OpenCPN !
No more need for a 50$ GPS USB dongle.
For example, commonly found IP addresses are :
For Bluetooth : 170.20.10.2
For USB : 170.20.10.5
For Wifi : 170.20.10.3
Tip : to know the Mac IP address, type 'ifconfig' in your MacBook shell.
All you need is your MAC IP address and the UDP port configured in your chart plotter.
